About The Editor

Ann Hacker, who took a year away from the Mill to work on a project of her own, has mercifully resumed her roles as Publicity Officer and Editor of the “Millers’ Tales”, much to everyone’s relief. A few years ago, Ann published “Shooting the Breeze”, an entertaining account of her adventures as assistant to a wildlife photographer in remote regions of Africa, the book featuring her own clever, often amusing illustrations.

Ann has since been struggling to find the time to complete a fanciful epic children’s book in verse with vivid, enchanting watercolour illustrations. In South Africa, Ann worked in advertising and then as creative director with a large Publishing Company, so her very special expertise and flair is a godsend to McCrossin’s Mill Museum. Kent Mayo (Honorary Director).

Relevant contributions to the Newsletter are always welcome.
